Are you passionate about supporting people on their recovery journey?

Were looking for an enthusiastic and empathetic Recovery Champion to join our team in Southend-on-Sea, working full time (35 hours per week). Youll work closely with the STARS recovery community, BRIC Coordinator and wider Southend team to provide person-centred recovery support and help people achieve their goals.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, using both harm reduction and abstinence-based approaches to support people throughout their recovery journey.

What youll be doing:

  • Manage a small caseload of recovery support clients
  • Provide recovery advice, guidance and harm reduction support
  • Complete assessments, care plans and 1:1 interventions
  • Facilitate recovery support groups and Welcome PODs
  • Deliver lived experience workshops and support service-user involvement
  • Develop links with local recovery communities and partner agencies
  • Support clients to access services including housing, benefits, training and employment
  • Work collaboratively with services including Probation to provide joined-up support

  • Experience of recovery and/or the local recovery community
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A person-centred and non-judgemental approach
  • Someone who is organised, proactive and committed to supporting positive outcomes
