Overview

In this role, you will support partners and senior lawyers in a busy disputes team, handling a varied caseload across commercial and civil litigation. You’ll gain exposure to disputed wills and trusts, and work for businesses, charities, institutions and high net worth individuals. The opportunity includes developing your own caseload, training, and potential specialisms within a supportive, high-performing firm. This hybrid Exeter position offers a collaborative environment with access to strong resources and AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist partners and senior lawyers on a varied caseload
  • Exposure to disputed wills and trusts and commercial litigation
  • Handle a broad range of disputes for businesses, charities, institutions and high net worth individuals
  • Manage day-to-day files with support to build your own caseload
  • Opportunity to develop a specialism and carve out a niche
  • Participate in regular team training and wider firm activities

Key requirements

  • Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 0–5 years PQE
  • Practical and proactive approach to resolving disputes
  • Strong communicator who enjoys collaboration
  • Committed to excellent client care
  • Keen to develop skills and pursue a long-term litigation career
  • Desirable but not essential: experience in contentious trusts and probate
