In this role, you join a leading commercial disputes practice in London as Legal Director to oversee high-value litigation and arbitration matters. You will guide a diverse client base through complex disputes, from strategy to resolution, while mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to business development. You’ll work with cross-functional specialists on contracts, shareholder issues, IP, and technology disputes, within a collaborative, growth-focused culture. Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of high-value disputes across litigation and arbitration
- Lead client meetings, negotiations, and strategy discussions
- Instruct counsel and experts, oversee practice supervision and mentoring of junior lawyers
- Drive business development and contribute to growth of the disputes practice
- Represent clients through all stages of litigation, arbitration, mediation, and ADR
- Provide expert advocacy and negotiate settlements
- Maintain strong understanding of civil procedure rules and regulatory requirements
- Support cross-border and international disputes where applicable
Key requirements
- 8+ years’ PQE in commercial dispute resolution
- Qualified Solicitor
- Excellent understanding of civil procedure rules
- Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage complex litigation independently
- Experience in a range of commercial disputes including IP, technology, property, construction, and fraud
- Mentoring capability and client relationship development
