Overview
In this Civil Engineer role, you contribute to large-scale water sector projects across Scotland, delivering feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning services. You work within a cross-functional team to create practical, safe solutions that meet carbon, circular economy, and resilience goals. The position offers impactful work on treatment and network upgrades that benefit communities and the environment. You will collaborate with multiple disciplines to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and strong client relationships.

Responsibilities
- Prepare outline and detailed civil engineering designs and calculations (civil, hydraulic, structural)
- Produce technical and commercial specifications, design reports and schedules
- Develop and mark up models and drawings
- Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to deliver designs through all project stages
- Consider whole-life carbon and circular economy in designs for sustainable solutions
- Conduct site and asset surveys to inform design requirements
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary designers (MEP, Process, Geotechnical, Structural) and manage interfaces
- Engage with the client, supporting them with a one-team approach to achieve aims
Key requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
- Working towards Chartership IEng / CEng with a relevant Engineering Institution
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Methodical approach to problem solving
- A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
