Overview
As Employee Relations Manager, you will serve as a senior ER advisor across the UK and globally, guiding managers and HR on complex employment matters. You will lead investigations and complex ER cases from start to finish, and drive global policy ownership and archiving. You will contribute to policy development, training, and continuous improvements within a fast-paced professional services environment. Based in Manchester with hybrid options, you will help shape a culture of inclusion, engagement and high performance while ensuring legal and organisational alignment.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters (conduct, complaints, conflict, sickness absence, performance)
- Lead and manage ER cases from consultation to resolution
- Conduct workplace investigations across global offices
- Lead project to assign ownership, management and archiving of HR policies globally
- Support development and implementation of employment policies, procedures and guidance
- Deliver practical, commercially-focused ER advisory services
- Deliver ER training and coaching to managers and HR teams
- Stay updated on employment law and ER trends to keep advice current
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in ER and HR
Key requirements
- Significant experience managing a broad range of ER matters independently
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practice
- Confident use of AI tools and technology to optimise working practices
- Engaging presentation style for ER data trends and action plans
- Experience advising managers on complex, sensitive issues and generating creative solutions
