Overview
In this role you will support and enhance the Software Factory used to develop FTEWA software for naval systems. You will work within the Combat Systems Product Realisation Group to design, build, and improve factory components, applying Agile/DevSecOps practices. You will collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver robust software factory solutions that enable mission-critical deployments. This is a cross-site, hybrid role with exposure to cutting-edge defence technology and real-world operational impact. You will contribute to shaping secure, scalable software pipelines that empower naval capabilities.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop software factory components within a defined architecture
- Apply Agile/DevSecOps for new and modified code/test modules
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver solutions
Key requirements
- Academic qualification in a STEM-related subject
- Ability to become Incorporated or Chartered Engineer through a recognised institution
- Knowledge and experience of CI/CD pipelines, build, test and release
- Understanding of DevSecOps approaches and translating guidance into reusable design and code artefacts
