Overview

In this role you will lead complex OT security programmes for regulated industrial environments and provide strategic security direction to Critical National Infrastructure and industrial clients. You will own delivery, shape client engagements, and grow our OT security capability across the UK. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to assess readiness, identify risks, and implement ICS security controls. This is a senior, client-facing role with a clear impact on safeguarding critical systems and shaping security practices. You will contribute to thought leadership and development within Accenture’s OT security practice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of OT security projects in regulated environments, including timelines, budgets, and standards
  • Serve as the primary client contact, building trust-based relationships and ensuring smooth execution
  • Conduct cybersecurity strategy assessments, readiness evaluations, and discovery workshops
  • Identify risks at project, business, and technical levels and propose cost-effective mitigations
  • Analyze ICS architectures (SCADA, DCS, IIoT), identify vulnerabilities, and recommend improvements
  • Design and implement ICS security solutions and develop control frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, IEC 62443)
  • Create deliverables such as threat/risk assessments, security policies, procedures, and compliance evidence
  • Mentor team members, drive business development, and contribute to thought leadership

Key requirements

  • 10+ years of OT/ICS cybersecurity or critical infrastructure security experience
  • Proven track record leading complex security programmes in regulated industrial environments
  • Deep understanding of ICS (SCADA, DCS, PLC, IIoT) and associated security challenges
  • Familiarity with OT security regulations and frameworks (NIS, NIS2, CAF, CRA)
  • Experience collaborating with engineers, IT teams, and executive stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills translating technical risks into business impact
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as projects require
  • Professional certifications: GICSP, IEC 62443, CISSP, GRID
  • Experience across multiple sectors: Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Defence, or CNIs
