Overview

As Technical Design Lead, you will guide the design and delivery of hyperscale, colocation and enterprise data centres across Europe. You’ll manage multi-disciplinary design teams and maintain strong client relationships in a fast-paced, client-facing role. Travel across UK&I and Europe is expected, with opportunities for career progression. You’ll work to ensure high-quality, timely design outputs and mitigate project risks, shaping critical data centre infrastructure for global clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams across UKI and Europe
  • Oversee all project phases from due diligence through construction documentation
  • Ensure timely, high-quality design outputs aligned with client needs and timelines
  • Identify and mitigate project risks with innovative solutions
  • Support commercial governance and risk mitigation with sector and commercial teams
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships and interface with Client CAM
  • Present design outputs to clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with design and delivery teams for localisation and permitting compliance
  • Respond to client requirements in a timely manner

Key requirements

  • Chartered Engineer or Architect (or equivalent professional qualification)
  • Extensive data centre design and/or project management experience
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on complex data centre projects
  • Strong understanding of permitting processes, building systems, regulations, and construction methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
