In this role, you lead the EHDS programme for Johnson & Johnson’s Clinical Data Transparency initiatives across Europe. You define strategy, governance, and the roadmap, translating regulatory needs into sustainable capabilities. You will steer cross-functional teams across development, legal, privacy, regulatory affairs, technology, and data transparency to deliver the EHDS objectives. The role offers high-impact work shaping data governance and regulatory-compliant solutions that enable trusted data sharing and transparency. Responsibilities
- Set and align the EHDS program strategy with regulatory requirements, business priorities, and technology enablement
- Lead integrated program planning, milestones, outcomes, and success metrics across multiple workstreams
- Direct program execution with clear accountability for scope, quality, and resources
- Establish and manage program governance, reporting, and risk/issue/decision management
- Advise senior governance bodies on direction, trade-offs, and resource needs
- Navigate stakeholder landscape and drive alignment across leadership, functions, and technology
- Anticipate risks and dependencies; mitigate and resolve to keep initiative on track
- Oversee resource planning, demand management, and transition of capabilities to internal ownership
- Ensure tech activity aligns with business requirements and operating processes
- Develop and implement the program change strategy including training and adoption
- Produce executive-level reporting and metrics to track progress and decisions
- Provide direction to external advisors, vendors, and communications partners and ensure alignment with objectives
- Represent J&J in EHDS discussions with external bodies and industry groups
- Build program management capability through fit-for-purpose methods and tools
- If applicable, manage hiring, development, and performance of direct reports
- Provide mentoring and matrix leadership when operating as an individual contributor
Key requirements
- Advanced degree in a scientific, technology, healthcare, or business discipline, or equivalent experience
- At least 10 years of relevant pharmaceutical, healthcare, technology, or scientific experience with leadership of large cross-functional programs
- Expert program and portfolio management capabilities (planning, risk, resources, governance, reporting)
- Formal project/program management certification preferred (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe)
- Working knowledge of EU regulatory environment and data-related obligations (EHDS, GDPR, data governance) preferred
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders, navigate ambiguity, and enable decisions as requirements evolve
- Excellent written and verbal communication for translating complex topics into executive messages
- Demonstrated leadership in problem solving, prioritization, and decision making
- Experience leading people, vendors, or multidisciplinary teams
