Overview

As Senior Project Controls Engineer, you will deliver and maintain project schedules that align with project goals, working closely with the project team to drive efficiency and manage change. You will help senior stakeholders understand progress, identify risk and recovery options, and support timely decision-making. You will operate within Turner’s Defence-focused portfolio, contributing to large, complex commissions and cross-functional collaboration. This role offers insight into high-stakes programmes and the opportunity to shape project performance on important defence projects.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain aligned project schedules
• Develop schedules with the project manager and team
• Reduce uncertainty and improve efficiency
• Coordinate with project managers to plan work
• Evaluate schedule progress and identify issues
• Support change management processes
• Assist in producing status reports for management

Key requirements

• Professional project controls experience with emphasis on planning and scheduling
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other planning/resourcing tools
• Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and disciplines
• Degree in a relevant technical or management field or equivalent experience
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., APM or PMI)
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management
