Overview
As Principal GPU HW Design Engineer, you will shape advanced silicon solutions for graphics processors, guiding microarchitecture and circuit optimization to deliver high performance, efficiency, and reliability. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to refine designs, review implementations, and resolve bugs while mentoring junior engineers. You’ll leverage cutting-edge techniques and tools to push the boundaries of GPU silicon. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design, verification, and validation teams to develop silicon solutions
- Prepare microarchitecture design specifications and execution plans aligned with project goals
- Analyze and optimize circuits balancing frequency, area, power, and performance
- Participate in design reviews and provide improvement recommendations
- Maintain and enhance the design environment and track design bugs
- Mentor and support graduate engineers and early-career team members
- Contribute to training programs and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Leverage latest silicon design techniques, tools, and technologies
- Plan, schedule, and complete tasks within deadlines
- Regularly communicate with cross-functional team members
Key requirements
- Solid knowledge of digital integrated circuit design techniques and methodologies
- Hands-on experience in RTL design at IP or SoC level using SystemVerilog
- Proficiency in optimizing circuit designs and balancing trade-offs for performance
- Expertise in ASIC or FPGA design tools and environments
- Exposure to formal proof methodology for capturing design intent
