Senior Estimator

Overview

In this Senior Estimator role you will lead pre-construction pricing for RC frame, groundworks and civil packages ranging from 2m to 30m. You will collaborate with the commercial, technical and operational teams to develop robust tenders and presentations. You’ll identify risks and opportunities to support winning bids, contributing to the company’s growth and reputation. You join a long-standing, financially robust business with flagship UK projects and a supportive, collaborative team. Responsibilities

• Prepare and lead detailed cost estimates for groundworks and civil engineering projects
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive tenders
• Work closely with the commercial, technical, and operational teams
• Attend pre- and post-tender meetings with clients and internal stakeholders
• Identify risk and opportunity in tender submissions

Key requirements

• Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator
• Proven experience in civil engineering
• Excellent numeracy, attention to detail, and commercial awareness
• Proficient with Candy or Conquest software
• Confident communicator, capable of leading tender presentations and negotiations
