Underwriter – International Professional Lines & Delegated Authority

Overview

In this role you work for a leading insurer in London, focusing on international delegated and programme business across PI, Cyber, Technology E&O, ML, GL and Allied Healthcare. You will underwrite referrals, manage delegated relationships, monitor portfolio performance, and help shape underwriting strategy for the account. You’ll collaborate with brokers, MGAs and coverholders to support growth and risk-quality across diverse lines. This is an opportunity to broaden class exposure within an established specialty team and take on greater portfolio responsibility. You will contribute to delivering robust, scalable underwriting in a global context.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite referrals for international delegated and programme business
• Manage relationships with brokers, MGAs and coverholders
• Monitor portfolio performance and risk-adjusted returns
• Support development of underwriting strategy across the account

Key requirements

• Professional Indemnity / Professional Lines background
• Experience with delegated authority, binders, schemes, programmes or coverholder business
