Overview
As Senior Cost Manager, you will lead cost management across diverse projects in Edinburgh, driving feasibility, procurement, cost control, and value engineering. You will work within a collaborative team to manage client interfaces and ensure cost plans, post-contract variances, and final accounts are delivered effectively. This role focuses on delivering accurate cost planning and value-driven solutions for energy, defence, nuclear, power, and utilities projects. You will shape project outcomes through robust cost governance and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies and produce procurement reports
- Manage procurement processes from pre-qualification to contract preparation
- Oversee post-contract cost variances and change control
- Supervise cost checking, valuation work, and final accounts negotiation
- Lead estimating and cost planning, including final cost plan presentation
- Perform value engineering and life cycle costing
- Interface with client and consultants across all project stages
Key requirements
- MRICS membership
- 5+ years of provable technical delivery experience
- Strong relationships with private and public sector clients
- Experience managing projects up to 5M and up to 30M within a team
