Overview

In this role you lead on-site electrical delivery for a high-profile Central London project, ensuring safety, quality, and programme alignment. You’ll supervise trades and subcontractors, manage resources, and drive performance to meet project milestones. The position offers a clear path for progression within a respected tier-one MEP contractor, with a strong emphasis on wellbeing and development. This is an impactful, senior site-based opportunity on a major commercial build.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in day-to-day site leadership
  • Supervise site teams and subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered safely and to spec
  • Enforce quality standards, lead toolbox talks, and promote safe systems of work
  • Manage labour and resource planning, including tracking subcontractor hours
  • Oversee subcontractor progress, identify risks, and escalate performance issues
  • Review materials on delivery to ensure specification compliance
  • Close out snag lists and assist with QA, handover, and project finalisation
  • Ensure variations or changes to scope are escalated and approved
  • Lead by example, maintaining site discipline, reporting, and team development

Key requirements

  • Electrical trade or degree qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Electrical Construction Manager or similar supervisory role
  • Proven track record on major commercial or mixed-use developments
  • Strong knowledge of the full MEP build process from installation to handover
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors and direct labour teams
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical layouts, drawings, and specifications
