Cost Manager – Commercial Occupier – Fit Out

In this Cost Manager role, you will lead cost management for fit-out packages across large aviation estates, shaping budgets and procurement for high-profile terminal refurbishments and live airport projects. You will work within the Real Estate Fit Out team to deliver cost control, governance and commercial guidance that supports project success. The position blends technical cost modelling with stakeholder-facing leadership, offering impact across complex programmes. Responsibilities

• Lead cost management delivery across fit-out packages within large aviation estates
• Manage cost planning, estimating, budget control and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
• Oversee procurement strategies, tender documentation, tender evaluation and contract negotiations
• Provide cost advice and commercial guidance to clients, project teams and operational stakeholders
• Manage change control, risk management, value engineering and cost forecasting activities
• Ensure compliance with governance requirements and programme controls
• Support the development of team members through mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing

Key requirements

• Experience delivering cost management / quantity surveying on Cat A and Cat B fit out projects for corporate clients
• Advanced utilization of Microsoft Excel for cost modelling
• Experience using digital software for delivery of cost management services
• Ability to manage and prioritise more than one project simultaneously
• Working towards a professional qualification (RICS or similar)
• Degree or HNC level qualification
• Experience in Aviation is desirable
