Technical Sales Manager EWI & Render

Overview

In this regional role you will drive growth for Johnstone’s Stormshield Render and EWI by building multi-channel relationships with housing managers, engineers, designers and contractors. You’ll implement a consultative sales approach to influence major construction and retrofit projects. Your work will bridge design, specification, and installation, advancing decarbonisation and retrofit opportunities while supporting installers and internal teams. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on collaboration, training, and project progression.

Responsibilities

• Survey, design and specify EWI & Render documentation per industry standards for key clients and contractors
• Develop a network of A&D practices, designers and engineers to generate opportunities for Render & EWI
• Identify social housing decarbonisation and retrofit opportunities and collaborate with asset management and design/delivery teams
• Support the national network of approved installers; deliver EWI applicator training to contractors
• Train and upskill PPG employees in basic technical knowledge and best practices
• Work within pricing structures and assist with material/system calculations to secure sales
• Use a consultative approach to uncover new project leads and understand project drivers
• Develop unique specifications (Golden Thread Specs) to minimise substitution risk and support sales
• Collaborate to manage projects from lead specification through to pipeline conversion

Key requirements

• Over 2 years’ experience in a product sales role in construction or related industry
• Solid product knowledge and understanding of construction industry relationships and legislation
• Ability to prepare reports/presentations and meet deadlines
• Willingness to travel within and outside the territory with overnight stays
