Associate Electrical Engineer – Team Lead

Overview

In this role you will lead a Central London team to deliver building services projects. You will guide and support the team, manage multiple projects, and drive successful delivery while maintaining strong client engagement. You’ll present to clients and contribute to business development through architect and client relationships. This is a hands-on leadership position that blends technical oversight with people management and strategic impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire an internal team and manage workload and wellbeing
• Oversee multiple projects, including fees, resources and design coordination
• Ensure successful delivery of all projects within your team
• Engage with clients through presentations and meetings
• Drive business development by nurturing client and architect relationships and generating leads

Key requirements

• 10 years of experience in building services engineering
• Chartered membership in CIBSE, IMechE, or IET
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field
• Stay current with environmental design, sustainability, and building regulations
• Knowledge of British Standards, CIBSE guidelines, and Construction Design and Management Regulations
• Experience with thermal modelling software such as IES
