Overview
In this role you will lead the successful delivery of multiple industrial and commercial refurbishment projects from mobilisation through handover. You will work closely with clients, surveyors, and site teams to ensure safe, on-time, and financially sound results that meet high quality standards. You’ll manage programmes, cost control, and subcontractor performance while maintaining strong client relationships. The opportunity sits within an established refurbishment contractor known for quality and long-standing client partnerships, offering ownership of projects and a path to contribute to the business’s growth.

Responsibilities
- Manage multiple refurbishment projects concurrently from mobilisation to practical completion
- Coordinate labour, materials, plant and subcontractors to keep programmes on track
- Monitor costs, variations and overall commercial performance with the QS/commercial team
- Lead client, surveyor and subcontractor meetings; maintain strong relationships with clients
- Oversee health and safety compliance, RAMS, permits, and quality records
- Procure subcontractors and manage their performance and payments
- Support site delivery team and guide Site Managers and Supervisors
- Ensure handover to client meets expectations and project outcomes
Key requirements
- Experience as Contracts Manager, Project Manager or Senior Site Manager in construction/refurbishment
- Experience delivering commercial/industrial refurbishment and dilapidation projects
- Strong subcontractor and supply-chain management experience
- Good commercial awareness with understanding of contract costs, variations and profitability
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Strong knowledge of construction health and safety requirements
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Proactive, hands-on, solutions-focused approach
- Relevant construction qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS or equivalent would be advantageous
