Contracts Manager

Overview

In this Contracts Manager role, you will lead delivery across education, health and commercial projects in the West Midlands, spanning new builds and refurbishments. You collaborate with estimating, preconstruction and design to submit formal tenders and translate awarded work into executable programmes with the site team. You attend client and subcontractor progress meetings, coordinate design changes with architects and structural engineers, and ensure health and safety standards are upheld. You will manage a portfolio of 2–3 projects at a time, with regional travel a requirement. This role offers impact across a regional contractor focused on multi-sector delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tender submissions with estimating, preconstruction and design teams
• Assist with contract programme development and ensure timely delivery by site team
• Attend client and subcontractor progress meetings
• Coordinate design changes with architects/structural engineers for approvals
• Ensure health & safety compliance across sites
• Manage 2–3 projects concurrently from preconstruction to live
• Travel across the greater West Midlands region for project delivery

Key requirements

• Experience as Contracts Manager in education, health or commercial sectors
• Delivery of both new builds and refurbishment projects
• Experience with framework or competitive/negotiated tenders
