Overview
In this role you will support Gateley’s Banking & Finance team across a broad spectrum of financing work. You will advise UK-based lenders and borrowers on complex deals, from acquisition finance to real estate and project finance, helping grow a busy, client-focused practice. You will draft key documents and contribute to business development in a rapidly expanding team. This is a hybrid role with flexible working across multiple offices, offering development opportunities in a supportive culture.

Responsibilities
- handle a wide range of banking transactions including acquisition finance, real estate finance, project finance and asset-based lending
- draft core financing documents such as facility agreements, LMA agreements and credit agreements
- advise and engage with lenders and borrowers across domestic and cross-border transactions
- contribute to business development and client relationship management
- support the growth of the banking practice within a commercially focused team
- manage complex negotiations and maintain professional discretion and attention to detail
Key requirements
- 4-7 years post-qualification experience
- qualified to practice law in England and Wales
- experience in a banking team
- strong drafting and negotiation capabilities
