Key Responsibilities:

• Personal Care: Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
• Emotional Support: Provide companionship and empathetic listening to clients, fostering a supportive environment
• Medication Assistance: Support clients with medication reminders and administration as per care plans
• Observation and Reporting: Monitor clients’ mental health status, noting any changes or concerns, and report to the healthcare team
• Crisis Intervention: Assist in de-escalating situations and provide appropriate interventions during mental health crises
• Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, therapists, and family members, to deliver cohesive care
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided and clients’ progress

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Previous experience in mental health care or a similar role is preferred but not essential; comprehensive training provided
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Empathy and Compassion: A genuine desire to support individuals with mental health needs
• Reliability: Strong sense of responsibility and dependability
• Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Transportation: A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are advantageous but not mandatory
• Compliance: Willingness to undergo a DBS check
