As a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias, you will maintain and repair plant machinery in a leading sustainable packaging environment. Responsibilities
- Attend breakdowns on site machinery and conveyor systems
- Carry out PPMs and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
- Coordinate with engineering management and fellow engineers to resolve issues
- Adhere to health and safety procedures
- Participate in training and courses for development
- Collaborate with other engineers to maintain and repair plant machinery
Key requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a maintenance engineer in packaging, manufacturing, FMCG or similar
- Strong balance of mechanical/electrical fault finding, electrical bias essential
- Experience repairing and fault finding on motors, gearboxes, conveyors, converters, inverters or PLCs
- Apprentice trained with NVQ level 3 in electrical/mechanical engineering (advantageous)
- Understanding of automated processes (advantageous)
- Openness to learn and attend training when needed (advantageous)
