Overview

In this role you will lead growth in the UK safety market, delivering integrated safety solutions and driving revenue through strategic account development and tendering. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and ESS/Vp plc stakeholders to enhance customer value, manage CRM-driven insights, and demonstrate products at client sites. The role combines commercial leadership with technical safety knowledge to shape market penetration and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Aim to hit annual revenue targets and margins as part of a team
  • Develop and implement a business plan for market penetration and growth in UK markets (construction, infrastructure, energy)
  • Develop existing customers and target new customers; build relationships with decision makers and technical influencers
  • Collaborate with RAMs, NKAMs, VP RS, etc. to grow accounts
  • Deliver excellent customer service focused on total solutions and cost-effective outcomes
  • Ensure effective use and management of the CRM system for analysis and proactive marketing
  • Demonstrate a range of products at customer sites in line with safety practices
  • Build strong relationships with ESS and Vp plc stakeholders to improve efficiency and interaction with customers
  • Monitor financial and non-financial objectives to improve business performance

Key requirements

  • Exceptional sales experience and safety product knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience in a technical or commercial BDM role within relevant industries
  • Experience creating and contributing to innovative complex tender submissions
  • Energetic and drive to adapt pace quickly
  • Willingness and ability to travel; valid driving licence
  • Competent IT skills
  • Confident in communicating to people at all levels of the business
