Overview

In this role you will lead R&D tax engagements for clients, coordinating with engineers and finance/tax teams to deliver high-quality R&D claims. You’ll work within EY’s Global Grants, Credits and Incentives team to grow presence in London and support UK incentive schemes. You’ll engage with clients, review technical reports, and contribute to winning new work, all while helping develop junior engineers. This position offers progression in a leading tax team and exposure to cross-functional, innovative projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of R&D tax services to clients
• Review technical project reports to extract key technical factors for claims
• Support development of junior engineers
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver high client service
• Identify opportunities and manage expectations with clients and internal stakeholders
• Contribute to winning new work and client liaison day-to-day

Key requirements

• Experienced R&D tax practitioner
• Ability to read and interpret tax statute
• Strong client relationship and communication skills
