Tech Risk and Controls Lead – Compute Infrastructure Platforms

Overview

In this role you lead technology risk and controls for the Compute Infrastructure Platforms, aligning with firm standards. You partner with engineers and control teams to ensure controls operate effectively and stay compliant. You will drive risk governance, root-cause analysis, and remediation, while communicating insights to senior leadership. This position offers impact across product and platform teams, shaping risk posture in a dynamic, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage risk and control governance for Infrastructure Platforms Compute lines, aligning with standards and regulatory requirements
• Identify risk/control deficiencies across multiple compute products and drive remediation with compute platform engineers
• Quantify, communicate, and manage technology risk with emphasis on root cause analysis and resolution
• Build cross-functional relationships to facilitate collaboration and progress toward shared goals
• Execute governance reporting on controls, policies, issues, and measurements for senior management
• Monitor control effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to compliance posture
• Prepare and present governance materials on control state to senior leadership
• Investigate metrics and alerts for potential control issues and escalate as needed
• Review standards against firmwide requirements and industry practices for alignment
• Mentor compute engineering staff on risk frameworks and drive continuous process improvement

Key requirements

• Expertise in technology risk management, information security, or related field with risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks, industry standards, and financial services regulatory requirements
• Proficient knowledge in data security, risk assessment/reporting, control design and governance, with proven mitigation success
• Ability to translate technical insights into actionable business strategies for senior leadership
• Strong data analytics skills and experience with data-driven risk insights
• Track record of delivering results against deadlines and managing independent workload
• Ability to collaborate across functions and geographies with senior stakeholders
