Overview
In this RF Engineer role at Sepura, you will contribute to the design and maintenance of mission-critical communications devices. You’ll work across RF systems, electronics, and subsystems to deliver robust radios for emergency services and industrial customers. You’ll help shape product development during a period of growth, supporting the transition from TETRA to LTE ESN and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Expect hands-on problem solving, validation, and design optimization to meet high reliability standards.
Responsibilities
- Component evaluation and sourcing
- Design support down to discrete components
- Integration with Digital, Audio and MMI subsystems
- Circuit simulation
- Test definition and documentation
- Validation of designs
- Root cause analysis of failures and design updates
- Schematic creation and PCB layout supervision
- Travel as required (driving license and car)
Key requirements
- Bachelor in Electronics Engineering
- Experience with RF systems design, simulation and testing
- Hands-on design experience with practical engineering intuition
- RF product development/integration up to 6 GHz
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Core RF expertise in at least two areas (e.g., RF Tx/Rx architectures, RF power amplifiers, matching networks, EMC/EMI)
- Experience with RF simulation tools (ADS, CST or equivalent)
- Familiarity with RF testing facilities and procedures
- Hands-on PCB skills including component-level rework
- Hands-on experience with at least one of: TETRA/PMR, LTE/4G/5G Sub 6GHz, GSM
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative across teams
- Ability to manage multiple activities concurrently
