General Manager – Security

Responsibilities

• Oversee security across Northern DPD UK depots and deputise for the Head of Security when needed
• Develop and implement security policy and strategies aligned with company objectives
• Provide expert security guidance to business units across physical, operational, and administrative domains
• Regularly assess security risks and implement practical mitigations to maintain secure operations
• Demonstrate security department value through measurable bottom-line improvements
• Ensure Regional Security Managers conduct depot reviews to improve security
• Lead formal security risk assessments in line with TAPA and ISO standards
• Coordinate investigations into loss of customers’ goods and drive improvements
• Manage critical incidents and produce evidential reports for police using golden hour principles
• Produce monthly security reports detailing loss levels and risk mitigation actions
• Liaise with external customers and major accounts on security matters
• Organise external security advice and coordinate with external agencies as required
• Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Security
