Family Lawyer – 5+ Years’ Experience – Exmouth

Overview

In this role you will manage a busy family law caseload, delivering high-quality advice across divorce, separation, financial remedies and children matters. You will contribute to the growth of a respected regional practice while collaborating across the Family team. The position offers potential for leadership and business development, with flexible full-time or part-time arrangements in Exmouth. You will work to provide excellent client service and support the firm’s risk and growth objectives. This role is ideal for a proactive, client-focused lawyer looking to shape a regional practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of family law matters
• Provide high-quality advice across divorce, separation, financial remedy, private children and general family law
• Engage in Legal Aid work (desirable but not essential)
• Collaborate with colleagues across the department to deliver excellent client care
• Support the wider team and contribute to practice growth
• Potentially supervise or mentor junior staff

Key requirements

• 5+ years’ experience managing own caseload (Solicitor, Legal Executive or experienced fee earner)
• Broad experience across family law matters
• Ability to handle a busy workload and work under pressure
• Personable, articulate and confident working independently and in a team
• Experience with case management systems (advantageous)
• Comfortable transitioning to e-files and digital workflows
• Motivated, enthusiastic and committed to excellent client service
• Interest in supervising or mentoring junior staff (welcomed)
