Overview

As Contracts Manager you will oversee delivery of multiple civil engineering projects across the North West, focusing on energy and wastewater infrastructure. You’ll lead delivery teams, manage budgets and programmes, and ensure safety and quality standards. You’ll maintain key client relationships and contribute to growth and long-term operational strategy. Responsibilities

  • Oversee a portfolio of energy and wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Build and lead project delivery teams, including Site Manager appointments
  • Drive labour productivity and cross-site operational performance
  • Maintain strong client relationships with utility providers and stakeholders
  • Provide commercial oversight including programme management, variations and budget control
  • Ensure projects meet health, safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Support business growth and contribute to long-term operational strategy

Key requirements

  • Strong civil engineering background with energy/utilities/wastewater or infrastructure project experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a contractor environment
  • Experience in contracts management, operations management or similar leadership roles
  • Strong labour management and people leadership skills
  • Experience delivering projects through direct labour teams
  • Excellent commercial and contractual awareness
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience with utility clients is advantageous
