Enjoy building relationships with customers? Like being part of a great team? If you’re someone who enjoys talking to people, building relationships and being part of a busy team, this could be a role you’ll really enjoy.
This established and market-leading company in Leigh has built a fantastic reputation not just for what it does, but for the way it looks after its people. It’s a friendly, team-focused environment where everyone gets involved, works together and enjoys having a bit of fun along the way.
As an Internal Sales team member, you’ll be looking after a mixture of customers, getting to know them, understanding what they need and helping them find the right products. It’s varied, fast-moving and gives you plenty of opportunity to build relationships rather than simply processing orders all day.
Why you’ll like this Internal Sales role:
- Joining a genuinely friendly and supportive team
- Starting salary of £27,000, rising to £28,000 after 6 months
- Holiday increasing to 24 days plus bank holidays
- Your birthday off as an additional day’s holiday
- An early finish every other Friday
- Free parking
- Regular staff rewards, treats, incentives and social events
- Staff discount
- Great career prospects
- A company that supports employees with their charity work
- Staff referral bonus
- A fantastic working environment with a real family feel
What will you be doing as Internal Sales?
Working as part of a small and friendly team, you’ll be helping customers with their day-to-day requirements while developing strong, long-term relationships.
Your day could include:
- Speaking with existing and lapsed customers and building strong relationships
- Handling inbound enquiries and making outbound calls to customers
- Quoting customers and providing advice on products and availability
- Checking stock levels and suggesting alternative or additional products where appropriate
- Liaising with suppliers in the UK and overseas to obtain pricing and product information
- Working closely with customers and internal departments to resolve any order issues
- Keeping customer websites updated with the latest product range
- Monitoring customer spend and product trends
What are we looking for?
We’re more interested in your approach and personality than finding someone who ticks every single box.
You could be a great fit if you have:
- Experience in sales administration, account management, sales support, customer service or a similar role
- Office-based experience and a confident, friendly telephone manner
- Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and email
- A proactive approach and the ability to take ownership
- Good organisation skills and the ability to manage a busy workload
- The confidence to speak to customers and build rapport
- A genuine interest in understanding what customers need
- Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is upbeat, outgoing and enjoys being part of a team. Someone who likes building relationships, getting things done and being the person customers know they can rely on.
