As Maintenance Manager at Hart Shoreditch, you will lead engineering operations to maintain the hotel’s building, systems, and assets while upholding safety and brand standards. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver a safe, efficient, and guest-centric environment. You’ll drive preventive maintenance, manage budgets and contractors, and oversee CAPEX planning to support the hotel’s financial and guest-experience goals. This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic planning in a boutique, hospitality-focused setting.

Responsibilities
- Lead all engineering and maintenance operations across the hotel to keep facilities and equipment in top condition
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and statutory regulations including audits and risk assessments
- Manage preventative maintenance programs, budgets, and department costs to meet financial targets
- Oversee plant and equipment (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, water treatment, life safety) and coordinate with external service providers
- Support planning and delivery of CAPEX projects and annual maintenance plans
- Monitor operational performance, present monthly results, and pursue cost savings and efficiency gains
- Oversee building IT systems in collaboration with external providers
- Recruit, develop, and lead the engineering team and foster a high-performing culture
- Collaborate with department heads to support operations, guest satisfaction, and brand standards
- Assist in emergency or crisis management and provide 24/7 on-call support when needed
- Ensure building costs align with budget expectations
