Overview
In this role, you will be the central ER contact for UK & Ireland, handling a diverse caseload and guiding managers through performance conversations and change. You will work closely with Legal, HR Operations, and the wider ER team to support people through performance, investigations, and organisational change. You will leverage data and trends to drive proactive interventions and policy improvements, while exploring AI tools to increase efficiency. Responsibilities
- Serve as the main ER point of contact for UK & Ireland across business areas, ensuring fair treatment and responsive issue resolution
- Manage a varied ER caseload (conduct, performance, grievance, disciplinary) through to resolution, escalating to the Legal team as needed
- Coach and support people managers on performance management to address underperformance and drive excellence
- Support organisational change initiatives, including reorganisations and redundancies, with business leaders and HR partners
- Keep up-to-date with UK (and Ireland) employment law and internal policies to mitigate risk and ensure compliant decisions
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, delivering pragmatic solutions aligned to business needs
- Identify ER trends and provide insights to enable proactive interventions and policy improvements
- Contribute to ER projects and global initiatives to improve processes, tools, and ways of working
- Understand and monitor KPIs related to ER activities and case handling efficiency
- Explore and apply AI tools to streamline case documentation, reporting, and day-to-day tasks
- Use regional trends and case data to create business narratives that drive targeted support
Key requirements
- 3–5 years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations
- Bachelor’s in HR or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law; Irish law or other markets a plus
- Ability to autonomously manage ER cases and engage the in-house Legal team for complex matters
- Confident coaching and influencing people managers through challenging conversations
- Clear, collaborative communication with a solution-focused mindset
- Comfort with data analysis and basic trend reporting
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with multinational or remote teams is a plus
