VP, Quantitative Developer

Overview

In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize high-performance trading algorithms for Crypto markets on Galaxy’s trading desk. You’ll work with traders and quants to translate strategies into efficient code, while improving speed, reliability, and data integrity. You’ll stay current with quantitative finance and crypto developments and drive AI-assisted improvements to processes and outcomes. Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain high-performance trading algorithms and models for Crypto markets
• Collaborate with traders and quantitative analysts to translate strategies into efficient code
• Optimize trading systems for speed, reliability, and scalability
• Integrate new data sources and ensure data integrity for accurate model input
• Monitor and troubleshoot live trading systems to minimize downtime
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in quantitative finance, software development, and Crypto markets
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools
• Adopt AI thoughtfully to improve team performance and business outcomes

Key requirements

• Experience in algorithmic trading environments in Java
• Knowledge of tick data analytics and real-time market data processing
• Familiarity with cloud-based market access or hybrid deployments
• Proven experience in developing and implementing quantitative models and trading algorithms
• Strong programming skills in Java
• Experience with high-frequency / low-latency trading systems
• Experience on FX or Cryptocurrency trading desks
• Experience in integrating and executing strategies on DeFi platforms (SOL/ETH)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
