Overview

In this role you will lead the integration of Arm graphics and compute technologies into game engines and production workflows. You’ll work across Unreal Engine and other engines, prototype options, and guide reusable implementations. You’ll analyze CPU/GPU performance and provide clear recommendations to Arm teams and partners. You’ll shape technical direction across teams while mentoring engineers and driving impact beyond individual projects. This is a hands-on, leadership-heavy role within Arm’s GTI team, focused on advancing game graphics technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead game-engine investigations and integrations involving Arm graphics and compute technologies (e.g., Unreal Engine)
  • Build prototypes, evaluate architectural options, and steer reusable implementations
  • Analyse CPU and GPU performance, diagnose integration issues, and publish recommendations
  • Provide technical direction across teams, represent GTI in partner discussions, and mentor engineers
  • Drive cross-team improvements and enable independent engineering decision-making

Key requirements

  • Strong experience in graphics, game engines, or real-time applications
  • Practical experience with Vulkan or another modern graphics API, plus strong C++ skills
  • Graphics debugging and profiling tools
  • Experience working within a large game engine or comparable software codebase
  • Solid understanding of GPU rendering, memory behaviour, and CPU/GPU performance
  • Experience leading technical work and influencing decisions across teams
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for engineers, leaders, and partners
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to conferences and partner offices
