Software Developer (.Net , C# , Event Sourced Architecture)

Overview

In this role you will develop software that spans edge, on-premise, and cloud environments for a maritime tech company. You will work within the Product team to deliver reliable, scalable software and APIs, collaborating in an Agile Kanban setting while supporting and evolving existing platforms. The role emphasizes modern tech stacks and automated testing to ensure high-quality solutions, with opportunities to impact maritime situational awareness. You will contribute to innovative applications deployed across cloud and edge environments, and engage with cross-functional teams to drive tangible product outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, well-tested software in .NET
• Design and implement components to extend product functionality
• Develop front-end apps using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Build and maintain APIs, libraries, and tooling
• Support platforms, investigate issues, provide resolutions
• Create test and integration plans; contribute to automated testing
• Work with Docker containers and deploy to Kubernetes
• Document solutions and collaborate in Agile Kanban

Key requirements

• Strong .NET/C# development skills
• Experience with Angular, TypeScript, Jasmine, JavaScript
• Knowledge of Python and API development
• Understanding of SQL and Influx databases
• Experience with event-sourced architectures and cloud tech, especially Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficient with testing frameworks (xUnit, Behave)
• Experience building pipelines with GitHub, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
• Strong attention to detail, prioritisation, and independent work
• Clear written and verbal communication; effective team contribution
• Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance
