Trade Support Engineer HFT

Overview

In this role you support a high-performance trading infrastructure, working with a cross-functional team of developers and infrastructure engineers. You’ll handle live operations for trading and data systems, ensure rapid incident response, and drive automation to improve reliability. You will contribute to DMA feed handlers and the order routing backend, shaping the firm’s front-office performance. This role offers a hands-on, tech-forward environment with opportunities to impact latency and stability at scale.

Responsibilities

• Live maintenance and support of trading and data infrastructure
• First-level support for DMA feed handlers and order routing system for Front Office desks
• Incident and change management
• Handle trading system reference data change requests
• Manage project work and schedules, communicating progress and issues
• Build and maintain tools and scripts central to the trading system
• Continually optimize trading application and operational infrastructure through automation

Key requirements

• Recent experience in a prop trading firm or algo trading fund
• Proficiency in Bash, Python and/or C++
• Strong Linux scripting and network troubleshooting knowledge
• Self-motivated in a demanding, dynamic environment
• Knowledge of RDBMS databases
• Strong face-to-face and written communication skills
• High sense of urgency suitable for a trading floor environment
