IT Senior Systems Support Engineer

Overview

In this role you will maintain and support the bank’s IT infrastructure, ensuring stable daily operations and compliant security practices. You will work within a small IT team to design and deploy infrastructure projects, manage access and disaster recovery, and support AML reporting requirements. This is a hands-on position with a focus on networking, security devices, and reliable backend systems in a banking environment. You will collaborate across security, compliance, and operations to keep systems running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot the bank’s IT infrastructure (software, hardware, networking)
• Provide first-line IT support and resolve incidents
• Plan, design and deploy IT projects to upgrade infrastructure and applications
• End-user computing support for staff
• Coordinate between London users and Group IT Security; manage access requests
• Implement disaster recovery and backups per Group requirements
• Support daily/periodic AML compliance reporting for London team
• Monitor networking equipment (switches, firewalls, etc.) and perform routine maintenance
• Maintain AYAYA PABX system and ensure recording system availability

Key requirements

• 5–7 years IT experience in banking/financial services preferred
• CCNP level networking
• Experience with SolarWinds Service Desk software
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
• Experience with FireMon for network security and policy management
• Experience with Avaya PABX systems
• Windows Server 2016+ and Windows 10; RedHat Linux
• VMware v6.7+ and Veeam Backup and Replication
• Symantec Endpoint Protection/Encryption; ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus
• Office 365 familiarity
• Networking hardware including Cisco switches/routers; Dell servers/storage
