Overview
In this role you provide high-level executive support to the Corporate Director of Environment and the senior leadership team, enabling efficient governance and decision-making. You will manage diaries, coordinate meetings and travel, and handle sensitive information with discretion. You work closely with senior officers, elected members and partners to ensure delivery across highways, transport, waste and climate initiatives. This is a pivotal position within a high-profile directorate that directly impacts residents and communities in North Yorkshire.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-level executive support to the Corporate Director of Environment
- Manage complex diaries, meetings, travel, and competing priorities
- Coordinate and track correspondence and requests
- Lead governance processes, including decision notices, forward planning and deadlines
- Prepare agendas, papers and take accurate minutes
- Act as a key contact for senior officers, elected members, partners and stakeholders
- Handle sensitive and confidential information
- Support continuous improvement and identify process/service delivery enhancements
- Collaborate across Leadership Support for cohesive Council-wide support

- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Experience supporting senior leaders in busy, demanding environments
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Confident in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint and other business systems
