Overview
In this role you will own the month-end close and deliver accurate financial reporting for a fast-paced private equity-backed finance team. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to provide insights that inform key decisions, support budgeting, forecasting and cash management, and ensure regulatory compliance across the UK and Europe. Responsibilities
- Own and streamline the month-end close process
- Prepare and post journals (accruals, prepayments, intercompany charges, adjustments)
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain records integrity
- Produce monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary
- Support cash flow forecasting, treasury operations and day-to-day banking
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning
- Partner with stakeholders to provide financial insights and commercial support
- Assist with VAT, PSA, ONS and other UK/European statutory returns
- Support FCA regulatory reporting and capital monitoring requirements
Key requirements
- ACA qualified with first-time passes
- Big 4 training
- Minimum 4 years’ post-qualified experience (including industry finance)
- Experience in financial control and end-to-end statutory financial statements
- Strong knowledge of FRS 102
- Experience with ERP systems; Workday exposure advantageous
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments beneficial
- Private Equity experience ideal but not essential
