Overview

As Contract Manager within SSE Renewables, you will shape procurement decisions and manage high-value contracts for offshore wind projects. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier performance, governance compliance, and cost discipline across the project lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to influence commercial frameworks and partner with diverse stakeholders to deliver a robust offshore wind pipeline. Responsibilities

  • Implement procurement strategies for renewable projects aligned with SSE goals
  • Maintain positive supplier relationships and monitor performance
  • Lead contract negotiations and day-to-day management with a focus on compliance and risk
  • Support procurement processes with internal teams and external partners to meet project goals
  • Provide guidance on procurement/commercial tasks to project teams and address challenges
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities within procurement and commercial activities
  • Assist with early-stage business cases and contract administration through final account delivery
  • Support supplier vetting and management processes
  • Draft and review commercial contracts and track budgets

Key requirements

  • Robust procurement and commercial management experience
  • Experience with supplier coordination, contract administration, and subcontractor management
  • Awareness of supplier vetting, development, and management processes
  • Experience with standard forms of contracts such as NEC options A, C and E
  • Familiarity with Logic is desirable
  • Familiarity with renewable markets (development, construction, support contracts) and related commodities/services
