Overview
In this role you will support the delivery of temporary mechanical site services for a landmark UK infrastructure project. You’ll coordinate mechanical installations, utilities and subcontractors, ensuring safe, on-time delivery from planning through to handover. By collaborating with project and design teams, you help optimise site services and drive compliant performance on a major rail infrastructure programme. This is a hands-on engineering role that combines field delivery with planning and reporting.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate installation, maintenance and subcontractor activities for temporary mechanical site services
- Manage temporary utilities including water, drainage and pumping systems
- Monitor progress to ensure safety, quality and specification adherence
- Plan labour, plant, materials and supplier involvement; support short-term programs and reporting
- Review drawings, specifications and installation methodologies
- Support commissioning, testing and handover activities
- Collaborate with commercial, operations and design teams to identify risks and opportunities
Key requirements
- Experience as Mechanical Project/ Site/ Package Engineer or similar
- Background in construction, infrastructure, utilities, rail, M&E or major projects
- Experience managing mechanical installations and subcontractors
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and on-site delivery
- Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills
- Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project reporting systems
