Overview

As a key member of Artex’s international Business Development team, you will identify and nurture new client relationships and bespoke solutions to drive growth. You’ll build a healthy sales pipeline, collaborate with internal and external partners, and help raise Artex’s profile in the market. This role combines strategic prospecting with hands-on client engagement to support international expansion and client-centric service delivery. You will work closely with the Commercial Director to convert opportunities into measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new prospects across varied industries and intermediaries to drive profitable growth
  • Assess client needs and tailor solutions to address business issues
  • Achieve personal sales targets and manage your sales pipeline
  • Maintain a healthy prospect pipeline by monitoring network performance
  • Respond promptly to enquiries with a right-first-time approach
  • Build internal and external networks to deliver best-in-class service
  • Lead by example by delivering self-initiated new business
  • Raise Artex’s visibility in the market and conduct proactive account profiling
  • Collaborate with clients and client service teams to discuss suitable solutions
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and developments
  • Keep CRM data current and accurate
  • Project manage smooth handover from prospect to client
  • Attend industry events to stay informed
  • Adhere to policies and participate in internal initiatives
  • Complete timesheets accurately
  • Contribute to a positive work environment
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders

Key requirements

  • 5+ years in a consulting-led sales role within commercial insurance (preferably alternative risk transfer/captive space)
  • Technical insurance competency with a drive to continuously develop
  • Fully Qualified CIP and/or working towards ACII
  • Confident, ambitious self-starter with desire to succeed in a competitive market
  • Excellent consultative, business development and market awareness skills
  • Proven ability to source new business and achieve targets
  • Proven success in identifying client concerns and creating tailored solutions
  • Results-focused with ability to meet challenging targets
  • Advanced MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce desirable
  • Strong understanding of core service capabilities and negotiation/closing skills
  • Team player who can work remotely with guidance as needed
