Senior Compliance Internal Auditor

Overview

As a Senior Compliance Auditor, you advance the Compliance pillar across TikTok and TikTok Shop by maturing audit capabilities in privacy, content safety, and AI governance. You will lead risk-based audit programs, leverage analytics to reveal insights, and influence senior leadership with practical remediation plans. This role sits within Internal Audit, partnering with product, legal, and engineering teams to strengthen controls in a fast-paced, global environment. Your work shapes how we manage evolving regulatory risk and protect user trust while enabling product innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of compliance audit programs and support risk assessments
• Leverage AI and data analytics to detect risk signals and derive insights
• Communicate issues and recommendations to senior management
• Build collaborative relationships with management to understand the business and add value
• Serve as subject matter expert on Privacy, Data protection, AI Governance and regulatory frameworks
• Identify emerging compliance hot spots and develop a robust framework to adapt to changes
• Follow up on audit recommendations to assess remediation effectiveness
• Develop and implement audit programs for compliance and integrated audits across TikTok products
• Ensure quality and consistency of audit work in line with standards and process improvements
• Develop audit techniques including continuous auditing, data analysis, and monitoring via internal platforms

Key requirements

• Portfolio management experience across multiple audits
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to challenge technical aspects credibly
• Experience in fast-paced, product-centric environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executive reporting
• Global experience managing projects across Americas, APAC, and EMEA
• 5+ years in internal audit, compliance or related fields
