Overview

In this role you will drive online and offline commerce for Arnold Clark by planning and delivering omni-channel marketing efforts. You’ll collaborate with designers, developers and copywriters to promote a large product catalog across marketplaces while using data to optimise conversions. The role focuses on growing ecommerce performance, ROI and customer engagement within a fast-paced, team-based environment. You’ll contribute to shaping digital marketing strategy and learn from a large in-house marketing function.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and manage over 250,000 products across ecommerce marketplaces, branches and trade delivery networks
  • Improve customer experience to maximise conversion and retention
  • Plan and implement a wide range of marketing activities to drive online and offline growth
  • Develop and execute an omni-channel digital marketing strategy
  • Monitor ROI and trends using tools like Google, Shopify and eBay Analytics
  • Identify opportunities to grow the business while meeting tight deadlines and budgets
  • Write SEO-focused copy and implement best-practice SEO
  • Collaborate with web designers to create effective emails and landing pages
  • Create and manage social media PPC campaigns with in-house specialists
  • Test campaigns continuously to optimise results
  • Report on marketing activity to internal stakeholders

Key requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced ecommerce/digital environment
  • Experience with Shopify or similar ecommerce platform (essential)
  • Experience creating direct marketing strategies (designed, plain text and automation)
  • Budget management experience
  • Proven ability to lead multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Hands-on experience with email, paid advertising and social
  • Strong stakeholder relationship skills
  • Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge (training provided)
  • Product knowledge in aftermarket parts (desirable)
  • Retail and B2B marketing experience
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise high-value tasks
