Senior Public Health Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead Public Health design across all RIBA stages on a portfolio of hotels, residential, and commercial projects for a growing MEP consultancy. You will produce detailed designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports, and coordinate closely with MEP and BIM teams. You’ll attend client and design team meetings and mentor junior engineers while managing your own workload and programme delivery. The position offers ownership, visibility within an expanding function, and a clear progression path as the team grows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the public health design on projects across all RIBA stages
• Produce detailed designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical and BIM teams
• Attend client and design team meetings
• Oversee junior engineers where required
• Manage own workload and programme delivery autonomously

Key requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Public Health design within building services
• Proven experience working as a Design Engineer in a UK-based MEP consultancy
• Strong understanding of UK regulations, standards and best practice
• Experience delivering projects across multiple RIBA stages
• Ability to work independently and manage projects autonomously
