Overview
In this role you will provide operational support for large, global-scale systems used in building management and physical security. You will work with a ticket-based workflow to troubleshoot and resolve issues, collaborating with internal and third-party teams to ensure steady system performance. You will provide after-hours and on-call support for upgrades and outages, and represent the team with professional vendor interactions. You will document metadata, contribute to postmortems, and drive timely resolutions to incidents and changes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor ticket queue and IM channels
- Monitor and participate in managing systems and infrastructure
- Accurately record metadata related to tickets in internal tools
- Engage in managing and resolving troubleshooting tickets from internal and third-party teams
- Maintain contact with third parties and represent the team professionally
- Provide out of business hours support for scheduled upgrades
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical system outages
- Other duties as required
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from a four-year college or university
- 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent
- Builds productive internal and external working relationships
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices
- Comfortable with building and managing various servers
- Experience with networking management, configurations and changes
- Experience with systems and networking troubleshooting to identify root cause and fixes
- Knowledgeable about ticket systems and follow processes
