Overview
In this role you will support a growing Commercial Services team in Manchester, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements while advising on IP/IT matters. You will work closely with senior lawyers to deliver client projects and engage in business development. The role combines legal expertise with a client-focused, collaborative culture in a modern firm environment. You will contribute to delivering pragmatic, commercially aware advice for SMEs and major corporates alike.

Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (supply, distribution, joint venture, outsourcing, IT, data protection)
- Advise on IP/IT matters including licensing, SaaS, cloud, data protection, outsourcing, technology services
- Provide clear, commercially focused legal guidance with strong technical awareness
- Collaborate with senior lawyers to deliver client projects
- Participate in client engagement and business development activities
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 0–3 years’ PQE in commercial law
- Experience in commercial contracts, ideally IT, IP, outsourcing, SaaS, or technology-related agreements
- Strong drafting, analytical skills and commercial judgment
