As an Electrical Engineer at Mott MacDonald Bentley, you help shape electrical systems for water treatment and infrastructure projects. You will work across the project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning, ensuring electrical design aligns with standards and client needs. The role sits within a broad water sector portfolio and focuses on delivering reliable, safe, and efficient electrical solutions. Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical designs for water treatment equipment on client sites
- Work with Motor Control Centres, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation, Industrial Networks, PLCs, and SCADA
- Apply relevant design standards (Client and WIMES) and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams to meet brief, schedule, and budget
- Produce technical specifications and procurement schedules; review supplier bids
- Prepare URS for control systems; review FDS and participate in FATs
- Review existing installed systems and data from site visits, drawings, and reports
- Engage with clients to manage relationships and support their aims
Key requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Working towards IEng/CEng with a relevant Engineering Institution
- Effective communication with team members and stakeholders
- Methodical approach to problem solving
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the region
