Overview

In this role you oversee multi-utility connections projects, ensuring safe and efficient delivery across multiple sites. You will manage direct labour and subcontractors, collaborating with PMs, engineers, and QS to meet programme goals. You’ll work on high‑voltage projects up to 33kV and gain broad exposure to water, gas, and electrical connections within a supportive team. This is a hands‑on leadership position focused on quality, safety, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day‑to‑day delivery of multi‑utility connections projects
  • Manage direct labour teams and subcontractors across multiple sites
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Operations Managers, Design Engineers, and QS to ensure delivery
  • Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to programme
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards including NRSWA and safe digging practices
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, toolbox talks, and monitor quality to specification
  • Allocate resources and manage workforce productivity
  • Liaise with clients (residential/commercial developers, ICP/CPO) and provide technical guidance
  • Report progress, site issues, and resource needs to management
  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation
  • Ensure adherence to NERS, WIRS, and GIRS standards where applicable

Key requirements

  • Multi Utility or Electrical experience with 11kV connections projects
  • NRSWA Supervisor
  • SHEA Ticket (Gas/Water/Power)
  • Strong understanding of NRSWA, CDM Regulations, and Safe Digging practices
  • Experience managing direct labour and subcontractor teams
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to coordinate works across multiple sites
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
